A study undertaken by the University of Arizona revealed that 420,000 units of bacteria were found on the outside of shoes. Of that bacteria, 27% was the deadly E. Coli virus, and 96% indicated contact with fecal material (both human and animal!!)
Here at WedgeWelly we advise that shoes should be removed at the door to prevent the spread of germs and bacteria around your home, and in winter rubber boots should be worn as they are 100% waterproof (there's a real risk of germs and bacteria containing fecal material, spreading around your home via damp socks and wet feet!!)
