Wedge Welly

So I guess if you’re reading this, you probably want to know who is behind this fantastic newly formed Company WedgeWelly, or you’re bored and want entertaining!

With that in mind, I’ll pass on the information in an enjoyable way to cater for all (we always aim to please here at WedgeWelly).

WedgeWelly is made up of 3 very talented individuals (Mike, Sarah, & Laura). We set out together on a journey in the hope we could make Wellington boots famous by giving them a much needed makeover, incorporating high fashion surface patterns, and a comfortable wedge, ensuring your feet are well looked after at festivals. We aim to take them to the highest of heights possible. Now don’t get me wrong, you won’t see us at the top of Mount Everest, although if there’s ever an opportunity to get up there without walking or climbing...... What I’m trying to say is we want to reach the top, not just be top for our great products, but WE really want people to be involved and connected to WedgeWelly, like a great big cult!

So let me tell you about the team, warts and all...............

Mike a.k.a. “The MONEY Maker”

Mike is the age of the establishment (bless him) the eldest of the three. Mike’s the guy we look up to, and that’s why he’s the money maker. Let me explain...... when living at home with your parents, dads are generally the money makers, so we saw it fitting for Mike to be labelled “The MONEY Maker”.

Mike also has an excellent background in sales and has forged a hugely successful career in taking money off people, but for the benefit of the customer of course..... Married to Sarah (I’ll come to her later) Mike is a caring person at heart, a music lover and a very intelligent forgetful person..... I first met Mike over a glass of wine and the rest seems to be history..... Mike also has a hidden talent, he is a mighty fine DJ which will be exploited on many a festival road show I’m sure!

So if you see him about, give him a shout, you can’t miss his sparrows landing patch (ha ha!! sorry Amigo).....

Sarah a.k.a. “The WISE One”

Sarah is the brains of the operation, or so she thinks! When we started out we voted Sarah into the Chair as she’s the process genius..... she has endless patience and a head for the boring stuff..... she can quite literally do anything she sets out to. Some of the most daunting tasks Sarah just breezes through, so yeah we see her as our Saviour because if she didn’t do it, nobody would!!

I’ve noticed a rather large downfall though, as she looks after the budgets she never seems to get a round in..... so who’s the wisest you decide!!

Married to Mike bless..... Sarah loves to party, party too hard one may say. But try getting her out of her pyjamas and into the town if the ritual of getting ready hasn’t been planned..... no chance, it’s this process thing again.....everything she does has to be process mapped out.....

Sarah has a strange obsession with the Kings of Leon, and if there’s ever a KOL quiz, she’s definitely worth having on your team. Catch up with Sarah at all Kings of Leon gigs across the country, she’s the crazy one, process mapping her dance moves and lyric co-ordination.

Laura a.k.a. “The CREATIVE One”

Last but not least, the one you’ve all been waiting to hear about...The CREATIVE One!

I’m known as The CREATIVE One as I’m the one who puts the pretty prints on our fabulous wellys. The rest of the team say that my ability to work last minute leaves them astounded, but I never fail to deliver...a just in time policy I call it!

I’m a very personable person and love to hear from fellow members of the WedgeWelly cult, so please do get in touch if you have any ideas about future products or designs.

Capitalising on my love for FASHION, SHOPPING, SHOES & MUSIC, I catapult all these elements into my funky designs, and I’m sure you’ll agree from looking at the boutique, they are simply unique.

You’ll probably see me at a festival road show with a note pad in hand, jotting down any ideas that pop into my head, ready for the next instalment of wellys. If you do, pop a white wine into my hand, take the notepad off me, and point me in the direction of the bar where the rest of the WedgeWelly family will be stood waiting.
